And Nick 'danced' in his chair, passionately, without restraint, with total abandonment and joy! Then... |
Compelling, well known speakers shared via short video segments: Brett and Alex Harris (Do Hard Things), Harvey Katz (Becoming a God Magnet), Faytene Kryskow (The Cry) . . . and the worship was magnificent. And, when those amazing jigs and reels began, the Spirit of joy and freedom burst through and the people danced their worship . . . all ages, spontaneously worshipping that audience of One. |
He was on stage, and as he spoke the atmosphere was clean and clear. He told about his past . . . the boyhood depression - the searching for purpose, the questioning of why he was born like this. |
And there he was, upright and radiant, "Because God has a purpose and a plan for my life, and that's my fire!" Nick's message, his face, his eyes and his voice caught hold of us . . . and quite suddenly 'hope' was born from it - a hope in God and His fabulous plan to rescue us and save us and make each of us a part of His 'Forever Family'. |

Children came forward first - each one responding to Jesus Christ and His call upon their lives . . . then youth and adults came, filling out cards for Nick to follow up by e-mail. Then they wanted to speak with Nick, to touch him."Give me a hug!" he'd say. God's Kingdom exploded in magnificent power that night in Brantford . . . no one needed to be left behind, because God showed up big time through a man - born without limbs, who lives his life without limits! Someone wrote to us: "I have been to many events of this kind, but tonight I have seen God's glory!" |
Nick went on to speak at three morning services next day (Sunday 16) at Kennedy Road Tabernacle in Brampton reaching about 3,500 people. He was also in Kitchener on Sunday night with 800. In all, that weekend, Nick spoke personally to over 6,000 - when God released well over 300 into His Kingdom and many more to recommit their lives to Him. And then Nick was down flat on his face with no leverage to rise. "And what do you do when you fall?" he asks us, "When your plans and your hope are shattered? You make a decision to get up again despite your feelings and your circumstance . . . you get back up." |
